only 30 pitches - is spread across four natural
areas.

The
sunny and open, tree-lined main field
slightly exceeds one acre, and is given
over to only sixteen pitches, six of
which have electrical hook-up facilities.

The
Wood - ideal for tents- has only
five pitches, whereas End Field
and First Fairing are alcoves
of just four pitches each.
The shower block ladies’ and gents’ showers plus a new unisex shower, constant hot and cold water and flush toilets. Also added last year Solar Panels for hot water
Laundry facilities include two washing machines and tumble driers, iron and ironing board also provided.

Tent - FREE camping……
A new addition at Ruthern Valley Holidays for 2008 is the Camping POD, a timber built, insulated wooden hut specially designed to be used like a tent but with the advantage of it being already set-up on the site, ready for your arrival and use.
Bring all the normal camping gear but do not worry about packing the tent
Each POD has plenty of headroom and a floor area of approximately 7 square metres – ample space for 2 people or even 2 adults and 2 children. A key feature in the design was to accommodate the variable British weather, culminating in a POD with ample ventilation for the hot days and lambswool insulation for those chillier times - a wooden ‘tent’ for all situations. An added benefit of a POD is that it offers a level of security not normally available with a traditional tent; they have lockable patio doors, and the peace of mind that brings for many people.
Ruthern Valley PODS are a simple progression from the holiday under canvas; they offer a convenient alternative to the tent but retain all the ambiance of the ‘camping holiday’.
Set in a designated area within the site, the Ruthern Valley Camping POD has a number of benefits for the visitor:
- Already set-up when you arrive
- More privacy and security than a tent
- No wind whipping or flapping to keep you awake
- No putting up and taking down of wet tents
- A decking area for dining, sunbathing and chilling out
- A guaranteed dry place should the weather get a little damp
